With over 25 years of experience, I offer the time-honored tradition of male-specific hairstyling.
I learned to cut hair at a young age and used to intently watch my barber before and after my haircuts. Using what I learned, I practiced on my younger brothers, and before I knew it, I had a full-blown side gig, cutting hair for about 40 men who attended my church on a regular basis.
I was employed by a professional beauty supply company that represented two international brands for five years. I learned all I could from that experience, but in the back of my mind, all I wanted was to work in a barber shop and try to bring back an old-fashioned business model with a modern edge. I graduated from the Winston-Salem Barber College in 1991 and then completed an apprenticeship and state board exams. I worked in my own barber shop for seven years before I returned to Winston-Salem, North Carolina and decided to rent a booth in a barber shop downtown.
I enjoy practicing the art of creating and sculpting hair to make men look their best. I love building relationships with my clients and continually training and pursuing advanced education opportunities with companies like American Crew and Bosley Professional Strength Hair Care. My Bosley training was specific to scalp health, scalp rejuvenation, and hair regrowth, naturally and without surgery.
